bullet  General Notes:

"Father Bill", as he was affectionately known, earned a degree in Philosophy in June of 1926 from Carleton College and then a Theology Degree from the Episcopal Seabury Theological Seminary in Northfield, Minnesota. His first parish was St. James on the Parkway in Minneapolis where he served from 1929-1933. He then spent 12 years at All Saints in Appleton, Wisconsin from 1933 to 1945 where all three of his children were born. That was followed by a 5 years as the pastor of All Saints in Syracuse, New York before returning to Wisconsin where he finished his ministry at Trinity Church, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, retiring in 1972.

Charter member of The Associated Parishes (1946),

Dean of the Winnebago Convocation, Diocese of Fond du Lac,

Awarded an Honorary Doctor of Divinity by Seabury-Western Theological Seminary, Evanston, Ill (1966)

Graduated from seminary on May 22,1928 from Seabury Seminary.

He was ordained to the Priesthood in the Episcopal Church on December 16th, 1928 at St. Paul's Church in Minneapolisl, Minnesota by Frank Arthur McEwain, Bishop of the Diocese of Minnesota.

Made a Deacon in the Episcopal Church on June 10, 1928 at St. John's Church in Mankato, Minnesota by Bishop Frank McElwain.

He was employed. Episcopal Priest

He was ordained a Doctor of Divinity on 26 May 1961 in Evanston, IL. 2 An honorary DD degree confired by Seabury-Western Seminary which he always called "donated dignity."
