Lydia died in the summer of 1869, when Anabel was a year and a half old. There are conflicting birth dates between the Thurston Genealogy and the Ancestral File.

  Research Notes:

The entry in the Thurston Genealogy -- which has her of Salem, Henry Co. Iowa, is covered in pencil with "Centerville, Wayne Co., Indiana". The bio of her husband Irvin has him settling in Salem, Iowa in the fall of 1855. More than likely she was born in Indiana and her parents moved to Iowa. Salem is in the southeastern part of Iowa, just west of Burlington.
