SPICER, Henry II
Born in England, he emmigrated to America in the 1880's as a young man, supposedly after a falling out with his father over a choice of careers. Henry wanted to raise and race horses, against his father's wishes. Very little is known about his life, either in England or Mankato, Minnesota where he settled, married and raised his family. Henry married Anabel THURSTON, daughter of Irvin Harris THURSTON and Lydia Ellen DUNHAM, on 1 Oct 1888 in Garden City, Blue Earth Co., MN. (Anabel THURSTON was born on 5 Jan 1868 in Garden City, Blue Earth Co., MN, died in Feb 1942 in Appleton, Outagamie Co., WI and was buried in Feb 1942 in Mankato, MN.) |
