Tombstone deathdate although the family Bible gives the deathdate as 7-15-1781 (Heidgerd note: "(Probably the weathered tombstone was hard to read.)
1 July 1741, Fishkill RDC: Jonathan and his wife are listed as members and lived east of Sprout's Creek
"Jonathan DuBois lived and died on his inherited lands, respected and esteemed." Vol 1, p60.
Jonathan's godparents were his grandmother Helena Traphagen and her brother Johannes. He inherited land from his father on Sprout's Creek not far from Fishkill, NY and there "Jonathan DuBois lived and died on his inherited lands, respected and esteemed." He and his wife were members of the Fishkill Dutch Reformed Church and are buried in the graveyard there.
