• Named in will: of Joan Swift, grandmother, 12 Oct 1662, Sandwich, Plymouth Colony. ¹⁹⁸⁸

• Removal: to New Jersey, est 1683. ¹⁹⁸⁹ "The date of the Allen's removal to Shrewsbury remains unsettled. On 8 November 1683, Job Almy of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, sold to Jedidiah Allen of Sandwich, Almy's share in the township of 'Shrewsberry,' with the exception of the house lot. However, the earliest evidence of Jedidiah's presence in Shrewsbury was on 15 May 1685, when administration of the estate of the deceased Joseph Parker was granted to Allen and on George Hulett, both identified as Shrewsbury residents." • Land: 410 acres in Monmouth County, 28 Oct 1687, Shrewsbury, New Jersey. ¹⁹⁸⁹ "...a patent was issued to Allen..., 'part as headland for himself, wife, and ten children, and part as to an old settler or patentee.' He is identified as being 'of Shrewsbury' in numberous transactions by which he sold property, commencing on 13 November 1683. (citing East Jersey Deeds and N.J. Archives in footnote 52)
