Not found as born in Broadmayne in 1851 census by search in Ancestry.
Possibly the John Spicer in Sturminster Newton in 1841 married to Sarah and with a family of children with family given names: John, Harriot, Sarah, James, Elizabeth, but that is the only connection that I've made.
He likely died in Sturminster Newton in 1847 ( 2Q Civil Registration Death Index.)
Also possible: John Spicer of Fontmell Magna who married Maria Oxford in Shaftsbury in 1828.
Need to see if anything comes up with marriage to Sarah.
