General Notes:
There were two possibilities for the baptism of Anne (see the research notes) but I've concluded that she was the daughter of Walter and Anne Swyre baptised 30 Jul 1713. The other Ann, daughter of Walter baptised in Shaftsbury 13 Nov 1719 was ruled out by the OPC burial transcription for "1719 Ann the daughter of junr Walter Swyer buried 11 Dec."
Research Notes:
Ann could have been the daughter of Walter Swyer baptized Shaftsbury 13 Nov 1719. ( Dorset, England, Church of England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1538-1812 for Ann Swyer Shaftesbury 1720-1729 Image 1 Left first line) (ruled out by burial in December of the same year.)
Or perhaps a duplicate (same date) of the above on Image 10 Walter Swier - right page 8th line) Dorset, England, Church of England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1538-1812 for Anne Swier Shaftesbury 1710-1719 -
She could have been daughter of Walter and Anne Swyre baptised Winfrith Newburgh 30 Jul 1713 ( Dorset, England, Church of England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1538-1812 for Anne Swyer Winfrith Newburgh 1700-1709 - Image 2, right 17 lines from the bottom)
OPC: Winfrith Newburgh baptisms 1701-1750 has 3 baptisms for Walter and Anne Swyre between 1708 (Elizabeth) and 1715 (Margaret). Ann is in the middle 30 Jul 1713.
OPC: Shaftsbury St. Peter has baptisms for Walter Swyer (no mother named on any of the registers) ending in 1719 with Ann daughter of Walter Swyer baptised 13-Nov. The earliest is John son of Walter 15 Sep 1682. Others named: Hester (1684), Elizabeth (1687), Mary (1689), Edmond (1690), Sarah (1693), Thomas (1695), Joseph (1697), Robert (1700), Margaret (1702) - big cap till 1719 (Ann).
1761 will of John Swyer of Broadmayne not really relevant. Downloaded from Nat. Archives names sister Margaret, Rev. Samuel Baskett of Owermoigne (principal heir to support "my beloved wife Ann"), son John (minor), Daughter Ann (minor) - names other married sisters. Further research would be needed to connect.
