Born in 1854, he came to America in 1873 and settled in Vinland, Wisconsin when he was nineteen. He worked for seven years until 1880, when he returned to Denmark to marry Anna Sorenson and return in April of 1881 with his wife.

It is identified as such on a 1909 map, but an earlier map (1878 - David Rumsey Collection) shows it as 3rd St. All the older homes have been demolished and replaced on Linden Ct.

Not found in any church records because they were married by Judge Erickson in Frederikshavn since Chris was a Lutheran and Anna a Baptist. In the marriage certificate document Neils C. Holm and Soren Oleson attested to Chris' good character.
