Events • Marriage. 1603 • Land: 1000 acres from Thomas Revell for 500 pounds, 20 Jan 1700/01, Pennsylvania. 1604 This land was on the south side of Neshaminy Creed in Bensalem Township, a short distance from the present (sic: 1901) line of the City of Philadelphia near to the Delaware River. The following year he added 2500 acres on the southwest bank of the same stream. • Certificate: two certificates, 2 Feb 1701/02, Flushing, Long Island. 1604 • Politics: Elected a member of the Pennslyvannia Assembly, 1710. 1603 Served continuously until his death in 1719. He was likewise one of eight Justices of the Peace for Bucks County. In 1712 he was elected a member of the Council of Proprietors of West Jersey. He was one of the great land owners of the time buying large tracts in Pennslyvannia, New Jersey and Maryland. • Land. 1605 • Will: dated, 8 Nov 1717, Bucks Co., PA. 1606,1607 • Probate, 9 Oct 1719, Bucks Co., PA. 1606 Executors were his wife Sarah and Joesph Kirkbride. Witnesses were Anna Marriott, John Axford and Benjamin Field. • Biography. 1608 In the Jennings book Thomas married Sarah Jennings, daughter of Samuel Jennings and Ann Ollife, in Feb 1703/04.1601 (Sarah Jennings was born 10 Feb 1678/79,1609 died in Feb 1732/33 1609 and was buried in Middletown, Bucks Co., PA 1609.) |
