THURSTON, Abner
Abner Thurston may have been born in Newbury and moved to Exeter with his father. Records show that he bought land in Exeter, NH in 1728 and sold land to Moses of Stratham in 1734 and 1735., p40
• Military: He was a corporal in the company of Capt. Daniel Ladd in the 'march after the enemy toward Winnipiseogee pond" May 17, 1724 p40 Abner married.
Shuah, or Jerusha, Gilman, daughter of Moses Gilman of Exeter, New Hampshire, is often named as the wife of Abner. So far the closest I've found to a source is from Vol 2 of Savage: |
1 Thurston, Brown, comp., The Thurston Genealogies (Portland, ME, Hoyt, Fogg & Dunham, 1880).
2 Ibid, p. 40.
3 Ancestry.com online database, New Hampshire Probate Records, 1635-1753.
4 Savage, James, A Genealogical Dictionary of the First Settlers of New England (Originally published in Boston, 1860-62. Out of copywrite it is online at http://www.usgennet.org/usa/vt/state/savage/), Vol. 2.
