bullet  General Notes:

That Robert Field was the child of Benjamin Field and Sarah Stevenson is questionable. It is the entry that is in the Ancestral File but is not supported by the Stevenson Genealogy which has the last child of Benjamin and Sarah as Edward born in 1741. Robert would have had to have been born ten years after Edward. His father would have been 52 and his mother 44.

Only one printed genealogy has Robert included in the family of Benjamin and Sarah Stevenson: Book Title: A genealogical history of the Jennings Families in England and America : In three volumes - Vol 1 -
(Ancestry. com. North America, Family Histories, 1500-2000 > J > Jennings > A genealogical history... > Image 377 of page 348.) Robert is not given a birth date unlike the others in the family. (those pages downloaded)

Date of birth in 1851 calculated from age 68 buried on 1st mo (March) 30th day 1819.
BUT the Orphan's court of September, 1750 states that he was born 25 July last, which would have been, then 1750: From Ryan: At the time, they were still using the Julian calendar, which means that Benjamin actually died in 1750 (although it would have been considered 1749 at the time)

In this file, the birth year has been changed to 1750 and age to 69 to conform to the speculation written in a Word file that Robert was the son of Robert and Rachel née Mayberry. This also fits that his mother died after his birth.

That Peninnah, Levi, and Phebe were his children with Priscilla is from the Genealogy of Berks in the Exeter Monthly Meeting compiled by John Eshelman of Fleetwood, PA. The only other record for any children with her is Eleanor. The book with that list in it was written into 1800 and beyond.

bullet  Marriage Notes:

The marriage year of 1773 is only from Yates Publishing. U.S. and International Marriage Records, 1560-1900 at Ancestry.com, the Comly genealogy, and the Willett genealogy; I've not found a Quaker record except for this in the Horsham Monthly Meeting Minutes, a meeting held on the 22nd of the 4th month of 1774: " one of the overseers represents that Robt Field is gone out in his Marriage and is guilty of comiting fornication with her who is now his wife, his case is therefore ordered to be [Mo????]." The Horsham Meeting, founded in the 1720s, is six miles north of the Abington Meeting House.
