Baptism record at Pitminster

28 Jan 1616: Hugh Thornes' will names Agnes his daughter and bequeaths £30

1 March 1616: Richard Band's will, probated 8 Jan 1621, made bequests to his father, brother, sister and names wife Agnes as residnary legatee.

6 Jan 1669/70: Boston church records: "Sister Agnes Blake (ye wife of Willm Blake deceased) she haveing removed her dwelling to Boston was dismissed to Joyne to ye theird Church in Boston." Subsequent admission in the third church is recorded. p17 758

bullet  Research Notes:

BLAKE is pretty certain that Agnes is the daughter of Hugh Thorne, and the widow of Richard Band, but maintains that the evidence is presumptive. He based is research on the 1896 findings of Rev. Charles H. Pope, of Cambridge, and states that other investigations are being made.
