A John Woodrow was buried at Affpuddle on 7 Nov. 1788. Possible that his wife was Tabitha Saunders who was baptised at Affpuddle on 9 March 1755, daughter of Edward and Anne Saunders. 56

Hello Steve , You may like to know that early part of your WOODROW tree has been well researched as part of the WOODROW One-Name Study ( see listings online at GOONS ) . Thanks to info from Hugh Woodrow , adding to that of Mary Silver , your line and mine can be seen to intersect at John and Tabitha WOODROW . Tabitha is as yet unknown but from the baptismal date of their first child ( John at Turners Puddle in 1757 ) ,
Tabitha SAUNDERS bpt .1755 doesn't seem a likely candidate , unless she was "dunked" as an adult just prior to marriage , something which could happen and I've seen elsewhere in my tree .
The WOODROW O-N.S. tree goes back four generations before John and Tabitha and seems to be excellently researched .
My line comes down from Arnold WOODROW , second child of John and Tabitha .

Woodrow, John, Shipway in Bryants Piddle 21 1790
(Hillier: "The admon ( seen by me on microfilm at the DHC ) clearly shows that it was Spyway not Shipway at B'piddle , which also makes geographic sense .
John is described as late of Spyway , gamekeeper , intestate . Admon granted to Martha Woodrow widow of Turners Puddle and William Clarke of labourer of Bryants Puddle . Both made their marks on 17 Dec 1790"
John married Tabitha Arnold prob 1756/1757. (Tabitha Arnold was born in 1734 in Abbotsbury, Dorset, England 1045 and died circa 1786 1028.)
