General Notes:
According to the published genealogies of Atwater and Alling, Caleb FIRST married Lydia Benham, she died a year and a half after the marriage, and he SECOND married Abigail BRADLEY, by whom he had all of his 12 children. The Atwater and Alling genealogies, which by the entries, appear to draw one from the other, are evidently in error and are correctly refuted by Donald Lines Jacobus in his Ancient Families of New Haven. 209,400,732,865
