AMERICAN ANCESTRY (Thomas Hughes; Albany, NY, Munsell, 1887) II:49 records the ancestry of Tiel Ham 1775- of Johnstown md. 1791 Anna Rypenburghn; son of Hendrick Ham of Johnstown 1751-1792 md Gretchen Teil; son of Hendrick Ham of Johnstown 1726-1790 m Eve Ham (sic) whose ancestors came from Germany. (Johnstown is now called Livingston P.O. in the Town of Livingston, Columbia County, NY.)
- David Martin: "Because of the date of marriage and the recorde birth of his brother Conrad in 1726, I doubt very much if Hendrick Ham qas born that year, but feel he was born several years earlier, say 1716."
