"Probably the most notable incident in the family of Thomas was the marriage of his four sons, viz: Richard, Thomas, Amos, and Isaac, who married first four sisters, viz: Sarah, Catherine, Mary, and Clement Hallock the daughters of John and Abigail Hallock of Brookhaven, Long Island. After the death of Richards' 2^nd wife, he married Margaret Powell, a widow, who was born Margaret Hallock, and who was a sister to his 1^st wife, finally completing the marriage of four brothers to five sisters" (Willets book citing Bartlett, page 63)
In addition, and not noted, is that the sister of the four brothers, Dinah Willets, married the brother of the five sisters, William Hallock. ²⁰⁵⁶

• Religion: Quaker after the death of his father. ²⁰⁵⁴ His father was not a Quaker but Thomas became a Quaker under the influence of his widowed mother.

Thomas married Dinah Townsend, daughter of Richard Townsend and Deliverance Cole, about 1670. (Dinah Townsend was born in 1651 in Warwick, Rhode Island ²⁰⁵⁴ and died 18 Dec 1732 in Islip, NY ²⁰⁵⁴.)
