John Spicer
(est 1570-Abt 1623) |
John Spicer
General Notes: Presumptive and circimstancial that he was the John Spicer, father of John and Thomas, and also the signer of the first charter of the corporation of Dorcester, and also was a burgess and a representative to Westminster to James I's first parliament. That is quite well documented in Hutchins and the Mayo book of municipal records of Dorchester. That he was the father of Thomas and Walter is based solely on the dates and location of their baptisms which give their father as "John Spicer," but with no mother.
