Edmond Talbot 1693
Events • Will, 22 Oct 1635, Blandford Forum, Dorset, England. An apprentice in London acc. to the Visitation. In William (II)'s will of 1623, still an apprentice. His PCC will was proved in 1636. Described as a mercer of Blandford Forum; he leaves 40s to the poor of Broadmayne or Blandford, depending on where he was buried. He leaves his bible to his brother William, his other books to his brother John (which makes sense, given that John was an Oxford-educated clergyman). He leaves his 'sealed ring' to his cousin Robert Napper and £10 to 'Matthew Paige my kinsman that dwells with me for placing him to some honest tradesman.' NB Edmund's sister Anne was married to William Page. Witnesses to the will: Robert Henninge, John Talbott, Richard Talbot, Avis Talbot. |
