William Talbot (IV)
(1623-After 1697) |
William Talbot (IV) 1693
General Notes: March, 2022 update from Dan Talbot revises the lineage between William IV and on based on a new lease of Little Mayne Farm, having surrendered the 1625 lease. William IV took out a new lease of three lives, the three lives being himself; his son Stephen; and his grandson William, presumably the son of Stephen. (Dorset History Centre ref: D1/11749). I [Dan Talbot] have seen photographs of the lease, which was signed and sealed by William Talbot. William Talbot (IV) may have died after 1697. In that year, when his great-grandson Richard was born, he was described as the son of William Talbot junior; William Talbot senior would have been William Talbot (IV). Events • Lease: renewal of his father's lease on Little Mayne, 27 Sep 1692, Little Mayne, West Knighton, Dorset. 1780 Original acquired by Dan Talbot March of 2022. Names three lives: William, son Stephen, and grandson William. That is not on the catalogue's description: William married. |
