William Butler was born in 1670 at Wethersfield, Hartford County, Connecticut to Nathaniel and Sarah (Green or Banbury) Butler. He married Hannah Hills May 23, 1695 at Wethersfield and their children were: Eunice, Sarah, Peter, Ruth, Abigail, John, Mary and Esther. William died May 20, 1741 at Wethersfield and is probably buried in the Wethersfield Village Cemetery where his wife is.
