bullet  General Notes:

William Daggett of Saco, ME is one of two Daggetts in this ancestry, the other being John Daggett of Martha's Vineyard. It is not known how the two might be related, or if they were. He first appears in Saco, ME in 1681 when he is granted 10 acres at the head of his father-in-law's lot. He was the town constable in 1684 but moved to Marblehead in 1689. His genealogy is recorded in Noyes.

Nothing but conjecture about his origins. His name first appears at Saco ME, Dec. 3, 1681 when he is granted 10 acres of land at the head of his father Wormstall's lot. He continued to live at Saco from 1685 to 1689 when he moved to Marblehead, MA. SecII, p1.

10 May 1684: at a town meeting W.Daget is chosen constable for the year. p 178

Genealogy also recorded in NOYES 501,502,503

bullet  Research Notes:

Two lines of Daggetts emigrated to this country, one stemming from this William Daggett, the other from John Daggett of Martha's Vineyard. Samuel Daggett's genealogy has yet to be fully explored. (July, 1995)
