England, Select Births and Christenings, 1538-1975 on Ancestry has 6 April 1621 as a baptism in Chichester, Sussex, father Ralphe Allen (presumed senior)

Two Allen children were born in Sandwich in 1648 but the register (Records of the colony of New Plymouth, Vol 8, page 6) does not identify the parents: Caleb Allen born June 27, Hester Allen born December 8. Too close to be the same mother.

There are other Allens following from the mid-1700s: family of John Allen, Jr. and wife Sylvia (img 81)
Also a John Allen and Elizabeth (img 83) and family.

Ralph married Esther Swift, daughter of William Swift I - Sr. and Joan widow Dimbleby, in 1646 in Sandwich, Plymouth Colony.²²³² (Esther Swift was born in 1629 in Bermondsey, Southwark, London, England ²²³⁶, christened 28 May 1629 in Bermondsey, Southwark, London, England ²²³⁶ and died 26 Mar 1676 in Newport, Colony of Rhode Island ²²³⁶.)
