EDGERLY, Edward Tyler (Dr. )
Dr. Edgerly was recognized as one of the leading physicians of southern Iowa at the time of his death. He taught pathology at Northwestern University until 1894. Specialized in internal medicine, diseases of children, diseases of the heart, and tuberculosis. Attended Phillips Exeter academy. He was graduated with a BS from Harvard in 1885 and Northwestern University School of Medicine in 1889. He interned at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, was married in Chicago, began his practice in Chicago, where he became a teacher of pathology at Nothwestern.
