bullet  General Notes:

This Ellison may be William Ellison (RIN 19131 in this file) who may have married Mary Floyd 22 May 1769 although he would have been 16 at the time and she a bit older. (see Ancestry.com. New York, U.S., Marriage Index, 1600-1784 [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations Inc, 1999; Original data: Names of Persons for whom Marriage Licenses were Issued by the Secretary of the Province of New York, Previous to 1784. State of New York, 1860.) which cites Record Number M.B. Volume XIV, OSPage 106.

Mary has duplicate FS IDs: K4RS-92P and K8RP-JZ1 - both have her 1769 marriage to William Ellison.

Mary has a FaG memorial that says she was born 29 Oct 1748 which would have made her five years older than William: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/149686033/mary-ellison

Mary died Jan 10, 1832, age 84: (NY Evening Post > 1832 > January : Newspaper extracts (Barber Collection):
"Yesterday afternoon, 84, Mary relict of the late William Ellison of Orange Co. son in law Blackburn Miller, 109 Greenwich St."

William Ellison signed a notice of a stock sale for a bank at Patterson, NJ dated 10 March, 1825. (he is one of the three commssioners.) (Until 1839 Paterson was in Essex County, then Passaic county that year.) (Paterson is about 30 miles north of Woodbridge.)

Probate NEXT OF KIN seem it unlikely that she is the mother of Sarah Ellison: see
https://www.ancestry.com/imageviewer/collections/8800/images/005522134_00302 for those next of kin although they could be - the will does verify the children of Mary and William Ellison who were still alive in 1832.
