There are references to John Lewis, son of Samuel, in the probate records of Westerly:
Town Council and Probate Records, Vol 2-4, 1699-1736 (sic) should be 1744.
See images at 561 before and after. Dates February 1738/9.
References to him as a justice in Westerly in 1752, also in care of Penelope Mott, one of the poor of the town.
John married Phebe Mott (A Daughter), daughter of Edward Mott and Penelope Niles, 27 Jan 1730/31.1886 (Phebe Mott (A Daughter) was born after 1695 in Massachusetts 1900.)
