bullet  Events

• LifeSketch. 1899 At Scituate, he was old enough to bear arms (16?) in 1643, and in 1645 was one of eight Scituate men serving for 13 days in the Plymouth Colony expedition against the Naragansett. He resettled at Braintree, either in Dec 1656, when he married Hannah, the widow of Peter Shooter, or before. He and his family were living at Mr. Parker's farm in Braintree 22 Dec 1663 (Middlesex Court Recs.). He petitioned the Cambridge court 21 Jun 1664 for release from jail as he was poor, with a wife and 4 small children, having sold liquor to the Indians. Apparently, he was a man of humble position as he doesn't appear in any Suffolk County land evidence, nor did he leave a will.

• Cause of Death: Killed by Indians, 23 Feb 1674/75, Braintree, Suffolk, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America. 1901
