Approximate date of birh based on Jane's birth. His baptism must have been as a young man. It is recorded with Wm Grant "Wm & Robert Grant" with no parents named.
Several possibities of who he might have been. There was a Robert Grant baptized in 1760 in Poole, but then why again?
(Very Possibly Corfe Castle as there is a Robert Grant, age 71 (1761) buried there in 1832
