bullet  General Notes:

William Talbot (VII) b. before 1697, d.1733
Born before 1697, assuming he was the elder brother of Richard Talbot. William Talbots (I) and (II) were younger sons; thereafter, it became the custom of the family to name the eldest son William. Other recurring names in the family: Richard, Stephen, James, John, Francis.
We know from the 1743 bond of guardianship (see his brother Richard) that William Talbot died intestate before 1743, leaving a son, William, a minor. I suggest that William Talbot (VII) was the William Talbot, yeoman, of Broadmayne, who died in 1733. We have the 1733 administration of estate, signed by his widow Mary with 'M'. We can identify this Mary with the Mary Talbot of Broadmayne who left a will in 1756, also signing with 'M'. She does not refer to William, whose property had presumably been settled on him, but refers to her daughter Elizabeth Sherren. This name ties up with the will of her son, William Talbot (VIII).

There is no record of his burial. The burial of William Talbot on 23 April 1731 recorded in the Broadmayne registers likely another William considering the entry below that entry: " Eliz. the wido of Wm Talbott was buried 23 April 1731"

Possibly married Mary Atkins in Wyke Regis 6 Oct 1682 (Wyke Regis PR) 1694
