D.D. degree from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1860. For 24 years a leader in the Methodist Episcopal Church in Ohio before moving to MN in 1857. He continued as a minister in the church until he retired with rheumatism in the fall of 1882. He represented his annual conference in six general conferences. Lived at St. Paul, MN.
Cyrus married Mary E. DAVENPORT on 9 Sep 1836. (Mary E. DAVENPORT died on 18 Jan 1852.)
Cyrus next married Laura LAMPSON on 27 Apr 1853.
