bullet  General Notes:

It is difficult from the research done to know if Gertrud was the mother of Peter, Conrad and Caspar, or a sister, but Jones, , p336 would indicate that she is the mother. "...she firmly was noted as Maria Gertrud Hamin and Martin Buck 4 Oct 1710, both next to Conrad Hamm and Peter Hamm, in the Journal section (of the Hunter lists). Martin Buch with Nicolas Hamen's widow and 2 ch. were at Queensberg ca. 1716/17 (Simmendinger Register): they were recorded byt four names from Peter, Conrad, and Caspar Hamen on this list." (, p336)

She is listed 3 names from Peter Ham and 1 name from Conrad Ham on the sibistance list for 31 Dec. 1710. .

Knittle maintains that she married Zacharias Fluger, but this is in error according to both Jones and Martin, the error having resulted from a confusion by the secretaries who wrote the Hunter lists.

____
Both Hank Jones and David Kendall Martin conclude that it is "most probable" that Gertrude Hammin was the mother of Peter, Conrad and Caspar Ham, or Hamen as they appear on the immigrant registers of 1716/1716. However, their European origins have escaped firm detection. What is known of the family is detailed by Hank Jones on pages 329 to 336 in his Palatine Families of New York. 572,646
