bullet  General Notes:

According to the correspondence between The Rev. Wm.J.Spicer and a solicitor following the death of her sister in 1948, Kate was deemed a "certified mental patient" and unable to act as one of the administrators of her sister's estate.

Patient Case Files held in Wilshire, cataloged at the National Archives: http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/rd/N13810683

Per emails 7/2016 with the archivist, Ally McConnell, the patient files are closed for 100 years and special permission is required to examine them. Ally was able to confirm that Kate was buried in the asylum cemetery. Stones have been removed. It is near Drew's Pond just southwest of Drew's Park, a housing development that occupies the ground that Roundway Hospital was on.
