Not much at all is known about Samuel except that he married into the daughter of two other 'old' and distinguished New Haven families, the Allings and the Bradleys.
His Find A Grave Memorial# 8640064 maintains that he was buried in the Grove Street Cemetery. This is a very old cemetery to which older stones were moved from the Center Church on the Green Cemetery in the early 1800s.
Samuel married Sarah Alling, daughter of John Alling and Ellin Bradley, 7 Jul 1691 in New Haven, Connecticut. (Sarah Alling was born 25 Nov 1666 in New Haven, Connecticut and died 26 Sep 1742 in New Haven, Connecticut.)
