Only member of the Daggett family to reside in Tisbury, being one of the first proprietors in the new settlement of Tisbury.

Served a variey of public service: surveyor of highways, 1687; selectman, 1689; constable, 1697 among others until 1716, when he moved back to Tisbury.

Possible that he embraced the Quaker faith, at least in part.
