Just want to make you aware that there is a book about Westhofen history... hoping I am connecting from your Web site with STREIT genealogy... VON WESTHOFENER HAUSERN UND LEUTEN von Christoph Julius Johannes Grunewald 1984, Herausgegeben vom Heimatverein Westhofen. I bought this book in the bank in the Westhofen town square. In German: --within information about Ohligstrasse Nr. 9, (a house), is mentioned Matthias (auch Matheis und Matheus) Streit, and Matheis Streit --page 268 [Photo of men in front of and on a house] Die Westhofener Feuerwehr im Jahr 1902 in der Seegasse bei einer Ubung unter der Leitung des Kommandenten Johann Rudolf Hirsch... names of men include: Joh. Streit --page 413 "1708 wohnte hier Ludwig Streit, und ab 1712 (und noch 1721) Barthel May, der Sohn des Mullers Hans Jakob May in der Gemeindemuhle."

Matthias married Anna Christina Leiber 18 Jan 1658/59 in Westhofen (Ref. Chbk.).
