Military: [ French and Indian War] He was in the military company of Capt. John Parsons, regiment of Col. Peter Gilman of Exeter, in a expedition to Albany in 1755; he enlisted Sept. 19 and was discharged Dec. 28th. April 7, 1760 he was in Capt. George Marsh's company, Col John Goff's regiment; was left sick at No. 4 (Charlestown, NH) and went home Oct. 10th. p 57 - page 47 in second edition ¹⁹³

This family is quite confusing.
Brown Thurston has five children, but the History of Exeter, citing town records, shows four children of Ichbabod, wife unnamed, born between 1753 and 1760 and none relate to those listed by Brown Thurston. (see page 77 in the History). Children are much duplicated in FS.

Ichabod married Elizabeth "Betty" Philbrick about 1746 in Exeter, Rockingham Co., NH. (Elizabeth "Betty" Philbrick was born about 1725.)
